What the sources say

FoodKeeper gives flour tortillas 3 months in the pantry from the date of purchase, 3 months in the refrigerator once the package is opened, and 6 months in the freezer.1

The Nebraska Extension chart has a row for flour tortillas with the same three numbers, and it also marks the refrigerator time of 3 months as the time after opening.21

Its 3 months at room temperature refers to a pantry or cupboard at 50 to 70 °F, and its 6 months at 0 °F sits in a freezer column that it describes as storage times for quality only.2

Corn tortillas have a separate FoodKeeper entry with a much shorter pantry time of 25 to 45 days.31

In the refrigerator, that entry allows corn tortillas 60 to 90 days.3

FoodKeeper counts both corn tortilla times from the date of purchase rather than from opening.3

Neither FoodKeeper nor the Nebraska chart gives a freezer time for corn tortillas.32

CDC names tortillas in its list of doughs and batters that should not be eaten raw, next to dough for cookies, cakes, pie crusts and pizza.4
